Welcome to Shropshire Getaways, your home away from home on the banks of the beautiful River Severn.
We’re a family-run business, headed up by the mother-and-daughter team Jill and Harriet. Shropshire Getaways first began its story in 2015, with Millstone Cottage leading the way. After that, Pine Lodge joined the family, followed by our cosy glamping pods – each one created with love and a whole lot of thought to make your stay extra special.
Jill and her husband Des live on-site, so you’ll be greeted with warm smiles as soon as you arrive. Harriet keeps her horses here too, so don’t be surprised if you meet a few four-legged neighbours during your stay!
We pride ourselves on good old-fashioned hospitality and going the extra mile. Whether you’re here for a peaceful family getaway, a fishing escape, or simply some well-deserved downtime, we’re here to make sure it’s an unforgettable experience.

Being so close to one of Britain’s greatest rivers means we can offer tranquil fishing trips, perfect for unwinding and relaxing.
Our Accommodation
Stay in Millstone Cottage, a charming stone-built hideaway that sleeps up to four guests – perfect for a classic country escape.
Or, choose Pine Lodge, our spectacular timber cabin on the riverbank, ideal for up to six guests who want a true waterside experience.
Looking for something a bit different? How about the Railway Hut, a lovingly restored 1928 GWR railway container, or our quirky Glamping Pod, perched above the river for dreamy views – both perfect for two.
We also have our Shepherd’s Hut, which sleeps two adults and two children (thanks to a handy sofa bed) providing a cosy, fun choice for small families.
