Railway Hut

This 1928 GWR railway container is situated in an elevated position overlooking the tranquil river Severn. You will be able to hear the steam locomotives puffing along the track that runs behind the hut. The Severn Valley Railway station and Engine House visitor centre are just a 5 minute walk away, where you can ride on a vintage steam train from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, and stop off at picturesque stations in between, such as Arley and Bewdley.

Whilst sitting by the fire pit at night enjoying a glass of wine, you can watch the stars come out and listen to the owls tooting. Firewood available to purchase at £5 per bag. This truly is a unique experience. The Railway hut has a private hot tub, towels are provided.

The hut sleeps 2 people, with tea and coffee making facilities. A birthday package consisting of homemade cake, bottle of wine and helium balloon available at the extra cost of £20 when requested*. It’s available to book now, with a minimum of a 2 night stay at weekends, and 1 night stay in the week. Sorry no pets allowed.

Please note check out is 10am and check in from 2pm.

We work on the basis of a two night minimum stay here at Shropshire Getaways, but if the calendar is showing available on a Sunday – Thursday basis (only), we can except last minute one night stays. The pod was spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious and had everything we needed (plates, cutlery, glasses, fridge). The hot tub was set up ready to go, much to the delight of my 8 year old. 🙂
